The 2022 Texas All-State Musicians were recognized. They are: Elizabeth Gardner, Brady Goar, Matthew Leeper, Zachary McClung, Sebastian Sohn, Hannah Drees, Leora Otteson and Makenna Pollock. 

Winter sports coaches and teams from Birdville, Haltom and Richland high schools were recognized for their successful 2022 seasons. They are:

• Approved the revision of Board Policy EHBE (LOCAL) Special Programs: Bilingual Education/ESL. This revises the term from “limited English proficient” to “emergent bilingual” and includes a definition of the new term. 

Approve the resolution to convene the District’s School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) to recommend curriculum materials. 

Approved the Birdville Regional Day School Program for the Deaf (RDSPD) Shared Services Arrangement Agreement. 

Approved budget amendments. 

Approved the bid/purchase for:? 

• Prekindergarten, fourth- and fifth-grade furniture for the Academy at C.F. Thomas from Indeco Sales, Inc.; 
• Nursing supplies and equipment from multiple vendors; and 
• Athletic supplies, equipment and uniforms from multiple vendors. 

 Approved the contracts with: 

• Weaver and Tidwell, L.L.P. to perform the District’s annual audit; 
• Tarrant County Election Administration for the May 7, 2022 joint election; 
• Howe/Wood & Company for District real estate; and
• MSB Consulting Group for Medicaid billing and consultation services.  

Approved the contract for the purchase of the property at 4051 Denton Hwy. in Haltom City. 

 Approved the final payment to: (Funds come from Bond 2018 funds) 

• AP Gulf States, Inc. for the construction of Haltom and Richland middle schools.
